Stardock announced today that Hewlett-Packard's (HP) MTV Artist Edition, the first of a series of special edition PCs that will feature custom user interfaces, utilizes Stardock's MyColors technology. MyColors provides a quick and easy way to transform the entire user interface of Windows PCs with a few simple clicks. HP is the first to leverage MyColors to bring a more immersive customization experience to their consumers; the special edition PCs are pre-loaded with MyColors skins and become available on June 12 (www.hpshopping.com).

Affiliates of Stardock’s innovative MyColors offering include Dell, Microsoft, Gateway and Alienware. The technology has been utilized by companies and organizations such as the NHL, the NBA, Harley-Davidson, Chevrolet and dozens of colleges around the United States. Stardock has pioneered the Windows customization market with such products as Windowblinds and the Object Desktop suite of Windows customization products.

The system specs for the MTV Artist Edition PC are:

  • Turion RM-xx motherboard
  • 250GB, 2GB RAM
  • UMA graphics card (64mb shared)
  • DVDRW capable
  • OS: Windows Vista
