I really, really need to replace the one I'm using now, but as with the others here who have experienced financial set backs....groceries and utilities come before computer acquisitions.  I chose "Maybe" because, you just never know....its conceivable my husband could find work, or....I don't even want to think of the other ways one comes into money...it could happen, but the way things stand at this present moment, it's quite doubtful.

I just upgraded my PC...I build my own computers. Just installed a new CPU, RAM, and a video card...so, I will be ready for Windows 7. Unfortunately, no funds for a new laptop...gotta stay with the one I have...so, I will still be using XP on it...it is not powerful enough for either Vista or Windows 7....durn!   

Just got a new laptop a few weeks ago!

Will probably be building a Quad-Core i7 with 24 GB ram and 1 TB hard drive. But that'll be my main work pc at the office.

DUDE!  What are you trying to do?  Hit warp speed, jettison out of this galaxy, and avoid the perils of the Mayan prophesy? 


Even if someone GAVE me that car, I wouldn't accept it.  I don't even want to think about what it would cost to insure, or imagine the sort of flip my guts would make when I accidentally caught the back bumper on my way backing out of the garage.

I hope everyone is smart enough to wait till at least the summer to buy a new pc so they get a coupon for a free windows 7 version when it comes out. Ill be waiting for windows 7 to hit the market (around oktober) and let the manufacters get their new stuff out that always comes with a new os. I geuss that will be in december. plus by then SSD and other memory will be cheaper and maybe ill buy me the new alienware m17x for christmas.
