I know some of you are having trouble uploading .dreams, and I have been trying to reproduce the issue without much luck.  So now I want to enlist the help of some of you out there.

Anybody who is having trouble uploading .dreams, can you please provide as much information as possible.

Examples:

  • How big is the .dream you are uploading?
  • What browser(s) are you trying?
  • What are the exact error messages (if any) you are seeing?
  • What s the upload url you are trying?

Also, please verify you are using Flash 9 to upload.  Thanks!

If you are having trouble with any other upload, please add to this, but be specific about what you are uploading.

When I upload to either uploader, anything over 28 mb fails to upload.

If I upload a 28mb dream with the main uploader the counter seems to hang for a sec and then starts displaying the progress. Once it counts up I eventually get the upload successsful page.

Anything larger and the counter never moves off zero but the IE progress bar at the bottom of the page moves up and eventually I get a page not found error.

On the other link anything under 28mb uploads, the IE progress bar moves up and I eventually get the upload successful page. When I try to upload anything over 28mb, the IE progress bar moves up and I eventually get a page not found error.

I am using IE7 32 & 64 bit on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I've also tried via virtual machine on the same PC with XP Pro IE8, XP Pro 64bit with IE7, Vista Home Premium 32bit IE7 & IE8.

I've also tried on 3 other PCs in the house, XP Pro IE7, Vista Ultimate 32bit IE7, Vista Home Premium 32bit IE7.

I've also tried Firefox 32bit and Minefield 64bit browsers.

All machines are using Flash 9,0,45,0

I ran a bunch of bandwidth test for Stardocks tech support a while back and everything looked good.

I hope this info helps.

I have flash 10 installed...why do you have to use 9?

ID and other Stardock personnel have stated that the WinCustomize upload links will not work properly with 10.

thanks for the info CarDude...I have 10 but have uploaded several times lately without problem...maybe its a random thing or just specific libraries.
