I have built hundreds of Transcencia starbases by now, and I have yet to see that it delivers that much weapons fire to enemy ships. I hope these abilities are going to be added in the release.

Is the music heard in the trailer headed for the game (love it!)?

Is the only way to get the game and the game updates through impulse?  I'd rather not install IE7 on my computer.

Yes, Entrechment is downloadable only through Impulse.

Not updating IE is a bad idea. You don't have to use it for it to pose a security risk.
