The construction on the house is moving along quite well. In just a matter of a week, they poured the foundation, put the blocks up, and began the roof. We had to go and pick out the colors, carpet, and all that other good stuff, which is always a lot of fun.
We are trying to keep the costs down as much as possible, and the only upgrades we really got were a paint upgrade, and a backsplash for the kitchen. These are things that would have cost much more time and money to do at a later time, so the minimal investment was worth it. Things like faucets and fixtures we kept standard, as they aren’t big of a deal to replace later.
Next up we have to meet with the low-voltage people, and see if we want anything from there. They do things like security systems, intercom's, etc. Nothing is really catching my eye here, but I would like to at least see what else they have to offer.
So not too much else to do now but wait.
