In my first article I laid out our plans to buy a house.  Today came the time to go through and sign the first round of papers committing to the purchase.  So many things to go through, but we now have the price and a ton of incentives locked in.

The next step is proceeding with the mortgage details and going in and picking out colors and things of that sort.  The lot is cleared and just waiting on one more permit before the actual building can start, and I wanted to create a photo log of the progress.

I can remember the first house we purchased and all that was involved. Just one thing to remember -

Is that they after picture of urban renewal?

Good luck!  Now is the time to buy.  Many people are waiting for the bottom, and I think we have hit it.  With mortgage rates so low, demand is going to pick up again.  Sadly, I think the feds over did it again, so unless the government stops monkeying with the system (unlikely given the current administration), it is going to be another bust, and this one quicker as they are drying up the credit as fast as they are making it.
