PC Magazine has a featured article listing their picks for the “Best free software of 2009”.  They have a variety of categories, and coming in at number two on the list in the App Launcher category, we have ObjectDock!

If you don’t have ObjectDock, go get it.  Next, we have a huge gallery on WinCustomize for custom dock backgrounds and icon packs to use with ObjectDock.

Is ObjectDock still being worked on? The pay-version, I mean? In the latest beta is still the bug with tray-icons not appearing under Vista and I was too lazy to roll back to last release in hopes of a quick fix.

ObjectDock 2.0 is being developed, but I have no type of timeline at the moment.

Awesome

I was under the impression when I purchased the Stardock program, that the Iconpackager program came with it too? Guess that was wrong, even though it says the program is included. Now, they want to charge me for that program.  LOL  Go figure!

I wonder why the circular dock was chosen as number one....it really doesn't seem superior to me. Maybe it was a personal taste thing.

If you look carefully at the list, u will find that this is just a list where the numbers assigned to them has nothing to do with the  utilities they have to offer to their users.

So you cant say which is at rank one or two.. As far as app launchers listed there are concerned ObjectDock is #1.

Look GIMP is at #94 http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2338816,00.asp

Is it possible? Not at all. it rivals photoshop in each dept.

The category is listed alphabetically and there are numbers to them as the poster could collect.

So there is no ranking..

If you bought Object Desktop it does include Icon Packager.  Did you download your software through Impulse?
