And if you are resubscribing is there a discount on the subscription?

 No. I don't think so.

Hi ID,

I remember 2008 Subscription Drive. It was great!
I want to take part in 2009 Drive too. But I have no free money for this (because of a big financial problems around me...  )
However I have at least TWO SPARE SUBSCRIPTION - I subscribed until 2012! So please take these subscriptions and use them in any ways. For example as a gift for somebody...
Sorry that this is all that I can do to support WC at the present.

Best Regards!

If you are a first subscriber it's 1 year, if you are resubscriber it's 2 years. Is that correct? And if you are resubscribing is there a discount on the subscription?

Brad changed that last year. You no longer get 2 years for resubscribing, only one.  Also the cost for resubscribing is the same as a new subscription, $29.95

I'm currently subscribed to the end of next year and if it will help to keep the community going, I could always add another year to it.

$29.95

This is fair price. I know a lot of sites where subscriptions costs the same money and more. But nor one of these sites do not provide for their users a half of services that we may find here. So no any problems. Let's pay if we like this place and want to keep it up.

to me 29.95 is maxed out of my budget. i was lucky enough to actually buy WB... dont label me as selfish for not contributing ..just some things i cannot allow.

I'm subscribed until 2010. I'll throw 2 or 3 more subscriptions on there but I'm going to wait till I see how this pans out with the drive.

Thanks for the answers. I knew Brad changed it but I couldn't remember.

Okay, thanks Philly!

Well, I just bought two sub renewals!!!

on Jan 10, 2009

Just for the sake of argument, and it's not like I think no one knows this, but $29.95 comes to about $2.50 per month. Personally, for what we get, I think this is a very good value!

im already paying $1500 in rent so thats my only excuse not getting a subscrip.

It IS a good value...but this economy has hurt some of us worse than others.  I was lucky and someone helped me out, but to show you where some of us are, last week I was ragging at my husband for using up too much toilet paper, and we use the bargain brand - the John Wayne TP - none of that soft and cushy with aloe for us; one more step down and we're going to have use the free newspaper sale flyers we get in the mail.  If I didn't need the internet to work, I would end up having to give that up, too.

I understand. I didn't mean to come off as if I think everyone should be able to afford it. I was only trying to point out that it is a good value. You know, supporting the cause kinda thing. Personally, I believe I will like the new WC, if the sub drive fails. But I will be renewing my sub, in order to help out. I can't do it now, it will have to wait a few weeks.

John Wayne toilet paper...lol...I love that one! Don't take no sh_t offa nobody!  Here we called it Rambo TP.

I don't get the newspaper so I had to resort to "recycling" all my e-mail. Good thing I have CCleaner!
