I was debating doing this type of post, but it actually fits in with one of my resolutions, so here it goes.

  1. Lose weight.  Yes, this is the classic resolution, but the time has come for me to get back into shape.  I have already changed our grocery habits today, eliminating most of the junk.  My biggest weakness is soda, but it’s something I have to slowly back away from.  Going to join the gym tomorrow, and there’s a good chance I’m going to start teaching some martial arts again as well.

  2. More personal blogging.  The overwhelming majority of what I write is about technology, specially about things related to Stardock and the things we are affiliated with.  Anything aside from that is just politics, but I wanted to start blogging more about more personal things.  One of my passions is cooking (hence resolution number one), and I really wanted to start sharing some of the recipes I have come up with.

  3. Vacation.  I haven’t gone on a real vacation in about 4 years, and by “real” I mean a vacation where we actually leave the town we live in.  I want to take my family on vacation somewhere this year.  I would really like to take them to Key West for a few days, but we will see.

  4. Get our non-profit off the ground.  Several friends/associates and I have formed a non-profit organization in which I serve as the VP on the board.  This organization is designed to help troubled and latchkey kids have a place to go after school, and to provide help and activities to our community.  I will write more about this soon, but it’s going to help a lot of people, and I can’t wait until it really takes off.

Dont steal my resolution!

Good luck with the resolutions!  Not to steal your thunder, but I've thought about that Non-profit idea as well, in my area, especially becuase of the children in and around my neighborhood.  I have a few ideas that I have not sat and put to paper.  I think that's a wonderful goal of yours! Good luck!
