The Today Show on NBC had a feature today of the top 15 “tech toys” for the holiday season, and Sins of a Solar Empire was a pick!

”More “serious” gamers looking for a bit of intergalactic gaming should look at Sins of a Solar Empire (Stardock $29.99). This game is like playing chess on the scale of “Star Wars” or “Star Trek.” Huge armadas of spaceships vie for control over vast galactic distances.”

Cool that Sins showed up on the Today show.  All 3 1/2 seconds of the presentation.  Too bad it had to share the spotlight with "Bore."  (AKA "Spore")

Good stuff! Congrats guys! I was hoping Sins would have made the NYT list this year but sadly it did not. This is just as good however.

I wonder...is the game still on many store's shelves?  I'm sure Best Buy and Circuit City would have it, but what about other stores like Walmart and Meijer (upper midwest superstore)?

Seconded. How could he advertise spore and skp over Sins? Peh. Well at least he mentioned it... But man, that was just skimmed over, it deserved more attention!

Spore has more $$$ to line his pockets???

If he is anything like some of the TV tech experts in Australia, he was told what to say by other people prior to going on....
