The day after Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday, is nearly upon us.  This is the day where people get up way early and wait in huge lines to get so-called “sale” prices.  I have been going through the ad scans and I don’t see any real reason to get up early this year.  Many of these retailers will have the sales on their websites, along with a better selection, so I might just take that route.

You can get a sneak peak at many of the Black Friday deals here.

So are you getting up to brave the crowds?  If so, what items are you going for?

Nah, I'm racist, I'm waiting til white friday to go out shopping (pure tongue n cheek).

I'll be far far away from anything most would call civilization (yeah where the dear and the antelope play, where the buffalo roam).

I want to, but I have to convince my husband it's worth the hassle.  It's the only time we'll have time off and child care before Christmas...

This year we are doing a cash Christmas...we usually either put Christmas on a CC and paid it off later in the year or got a small loan and paid that off.  This time I've been saving for a couple months and have managed to come up with a decent amount of cash.   From talking to my friends, moving away from using CC and doing cash for Christmas (and buying things used!) is going to be a trend this year.

I am purchasing 3 gifts total this year.  We just can't afford buying for everybody, so my mom, my sister, and Ry's mom are the ones that get gifts.  We don't want anything.  We'll be spending about $50 total this year.
