This was one of those weekends where I wanted to play a bunch of games, but the wife....I mean I just didn't have enough time to get all my gaming done.  I did get some time in with The Political Machine 2008, I'm trying to cram as much play in before the elections as I can.

I was in the mood for some FPS action, but really had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to play.  I've actually been interested in getting back into America's Army.

So what did you play this weekend?

I played some SimBackyard....er, I mean we did some pre-winter yardwork as well as some cleaning up of the basement to bring things in for the winter.  That, combined with catching up on some TV from the past week on the DVR, I didn't get much gaming in.

I squeezed in some time for my research on Espionage in DA/TA, but the current thing I'm doing (trying to find spy costs) will take many many more games to finalize.  I currently only have 2 full games worth of costs (worknig on the 3rd), so my sampling size is very bad right now.

If things weren't so busy busy in winterizing (nice 70's weather helped with getting windows open to get storm windows in place) I'd have hit more Rock Band yesterday.  I think this week I'll get my pre-order in for a GH4 guitar.  Yay to the end of bumming an instrument!

I "played" a test game I put together with XNA. Will have to do a journal when I get the chance

I have moved on to Battlefield: Bad Company.  I'm personally tired of the WWII shooters, but I will give COD5 a shot anyways.  Still looking for a beta code.

Now, now, Sabrina.  I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, but for me, I travel a LOT, and getting out of the house is the last thing I want to do if I have free time.  Life is just a video game where you're the character in it as opposed to the player playing the character.  Mari and I are both homebodies, although we did go to a friend's barbecue last night.

My dad was here most of the weekend (left Sunday morning) but he and my step-mom came in a motor home, so they were pretty unobstrusive and low maintenance.  I played some WoW with my son and did homework.

I too played the game of life.  It was such a wonderful weekend here in IN.  Nice to have this close to Winter.  I played with the kids in our backyard, we went on an Adventure at the local park where we hiked through the woods up to the duck pond to feed (read clobber) them with bread.  Saw plenty of Skwunkles (that's 2 year old speak for Squirrels) and turtles basking in the sun on logs.  We then used the empty breadbag to collect walnuts to bring back for our local Skwunkles since they are stroring up for the long winter.  Overall, it was a glorious weekend and I'm glad I had the oppourtunity to make the most of it.  I did, however, play some Tiger Woods '08 after the kids went to bed, but just 1 round.

LW,

With you, it's normally the game of Chance. I'm glad you decided to give Life a chance this time.

Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East

As we've now got another new born (yay!) the only feasible type of gaming is now TBS.

I tried sins at a slow pace between feedings but its too difficult to juggle a baby and controls in another.

So I ended up playing the new version of Colonization again. Not as good as the original, but that might be nostalgia.
