What I find amazing is that these poeple dare to compare Obama to Jesus yet I don't recall Jesus ever have to try so hard to convice people he was the one. If Obama is as great as everyone portrays him, if Obama is exactly what the majority want, if Obama brings the solutions that will help the needy, then why are they trying so hard and so desperately to convince people he really is the one?

Who specifically, are "these people" who are comparing Obama to Jesus?  The only people I have encountered who have brought up this Jesus/Obama issue are people like you, who say there are people comparing him to Jesus.

Why are you criticizing people who are trying "so hard to convince people he really is the one"?  Are you saying that he shouldnt campaign, have staffers, or volunteers?  Should he and his supporters just take it on faith that people are going to vote for him, without telling people what he stands for and why they should vote for him?

Dude if you are too naive to look this up yourself or blind to how many people have done so that is your problem. But I will be nice today and point 1 just to please you.

Next time davad70, make it your own business to keep track of these people rather than asking stupid questions. Oh and don't try to wiggle out of this with the "he doesn't speak for all Democrats" BS when everyone pretty much does the same thing.

Let's see, campaigning to win is one thing, but when the Democrats go as far as investigating something like Palins firing of Walt Monegan (something they never gave a shit about before), insult her faith, make fun of McCain for not being able to use email or not knowing how to as Obama put it, all while claiming he is like Jesus, to me is down right desperate tactics for a man who was believed to be able to win hands down, no contest. It shows that Obama is about as much for change and not politics as usual as Iran and North Korea's nuclear games are about as much for energy and not weapons.

I still find it funny how threatened Island Dog gets because of a training camp for political campaign organizers in battleground states.  I happen to know a little bit about the campaign organization process with the Democratic Party this year, and they are very specific about how they want things done.  I went down to the local campaign headquarters where I live and spoke with the head organizer about the process and details of the work they do in an effort to see what capacity I could volunteer my time.  They are just talking about training for door-to-door campaigning, phone recruitment, developing local events, and promotion for voter registration on college campuses or in other parts of communities.  Everything is by the book and strict to how they feel they can get the votes from people.  I do not agree with some of their stronger opinions, so I opted to pass and do my own thing.

To compare something like that to a cult with the whole kool-aid pitch is a bit much in my opinion.  I admit that the title is a bit questionable.  Those head organizers sure know how to alienate themselves and the party even though they try to help.  That said, I do know Island Dog isn't one to be swayed from his point of view or even take offense to something that the likes of me will say.

I just find some of his tactics very disturbing.  Obama camps, the Obama seal, Obama citizen security force.  It's all very reminiscent of things I read about in the 1930's Germany.

In all honesty, you make a completely valid point with that opinion.  I find it very strange with all of those questionable tactics they are using to try and pull people in.  If they pulled together some research that said they could use a flashy seal or had to do or say things strictly by script in order to pull in the most votes, then I would really like to see that data.  I do not feel that we need to think quite as extreme as Nazism reminders, but you are certainly not wrong to question in the least.  Something does seem rather fishy about their extreme points of view, I think trying to change too much will certainly backfire and remove any faith the American people would have in Democratic Party leadership.
