I have to laugh at the whole "she has no experience" strategy from the DNC, I mean, what VP choice has any presidential experience?  That is why Governors are popular candidates for president, it is the closest thing to "on the job training" for presidents.

It tells me the DNC really doesn't know where to go with this choice.  I mean, they have an nominee who has basically no experience at all who admitted it by choosing a running mate with years and years in Washington... then they point their fickle fingers at McCain saying his VP choice is too inexperienced?  What better "career ladder" is there than moving from Governor to VP?  She's young yet, but in 4-8  years she will be in her prime (presidentially speaking).

The Democrats better come up with a better talking point than one that can so easily be put back in their faces.

Anyone who votes just for any of these reasons shouldn't be voting, really.

Something I suspect the Democrats were not counting on. Now Obama and crew are all of the sudden worried about the experience factor! Gimme a break!

I think McCain made a gutsy and smart choice.

I like her!  I think they should let her do more speaking than McCain.  I think the Dems putting her down for coming from a small town is going to come back to bite them.  Are they saying you can't do great things just because you're from a small town?

I look forward to the VP debate!  I hope Palin pushes Biden's buttons and makes him foam at the mouth!

This is the democrats tactics for this week:

Attack her stance on creationism.

Attack her stance on polar bears.

Attack her experience.

All will fail.  Democrats are really surprised that Obama isn't 20 points ahead in the polls, and they are even more dumbfounded that not everyone cares for the messiah.

No, they HAVE to say that - because it is their ticket.  Now they see the problems with it.

The whole black man vs. woman thing didn't work out very well for the woman last time, though...

One thing that gets me about the Dems is I guess they are saying they need any old Dem in the White House.  Hillary was totally against Obama's policies but now that he won the nomination she has to say to vote for him because they need a Democrat...any old one will due.

I'm far from religious right wing so there are plenty of beliefs I don't share with that part of the party.  I am, however, for less government and more personal responsibility.  That is something I am getting from McCain Palin where there is quite the opposite coming from Obama.  I don't need a government to rule me like messiah Obama wants to.  I don't need an benevolant dictator.  I want, as Palin said, government that leads with a "servants heart".

Heh, she's a breastfeeding mom and wears her baby.  I like the idea of the balance of having a mother in there, even though I'm not sure I'm in 100% agreement with all her political stances.  I think moms know how to get shit done, haha.

She seems like an intelligent, strong woman.  Kudos to her for balancing a successful career and motherhood (I strive for that one day). 

However, pretty much every stance she has I disagree with. My vote is still going to Obama as of now...

Cannot wait to see what the rest of the election holds, though.   It's such a soap opera!  I look forward to the debates.  I tuned in for the Democrat convention and hope to catch a bit of the Republican convention, too.
