Star Wars Games Are Coming This Fall

In the next couple of months we have a couple more Star Wars games coming out. I think the last Star Wars game I played was KOTOR II a while back, which is a game I really enjoyed playing. First up next month will be Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Talking with a bunch of people on various gaming forums, this seems to the SW game people have been waiting for. I think the biggest appeal I have seen so far is the incredible looking force effects which will allow you to have huge control over the envrionment. The demo for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 is supposed to land on Thursday, and I can't wait to check it out.

Near the holiday season Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels will arrive for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Now ever since the Wii was released, and announced for that matter, fans have wanted a game to emulate lightsaber battles with the Wii-mote. This appears to be the first game to tackle that, but will it live up to the hype? Although I do enjoy the Wii, the Wii-mote isn't the greatest controller, and this is especially true for 3rd party developers. I really need to get a hands-on preview of this game before purchasing. If it can give a decent sensation of a "real" lightsaber battle, I'm sold.

So Star Wars fans rejoice, there are games headed your way and hopefully they will be worth it.

I really wish both of these titles on the Wii waited until they could get their hands on the new peripheral. I'm not interested in waggle duels.

I have the Force Unleashed demo for the PS3 and it is very pretty. There are some thing with the game play that I think could be handled better, but I still pre-ordered. (Not that I'm a fan boy or anything. ) I imagine that there will be a very robust storyline coming with the game, and hopefully that will make up for the predictable gameplay.
