Probably one of the most popular and useful tutorial series we have had on WinCustomize was the Icon-A-Day series from mormegil.  Started back in 2005, mormegil basically created an entire icon pack for IconPackager and gave a daily update and tutorial on how he created that specific icon.  It also showed the tools he used to create icons, which happened to be CorelDraw, and it gave many users tips they used to create their own icons.  You can find the original Icon-A-Day Tutorial index here.

Although mormegil is still quite busy with many projects for Stardock, he has returned with the Icon-A-Day 2.0 series.  Which in his own words will be...

"Icon-A-Day 2.0, will be Part 1 of a new series of icons. Part 1 will be going through the original Icon-A-Day icons and making them ready for the Vista World. Part 2, will be a brand-spanking-new icon set, one that is only a sparkle in my eye at the moment. So you can think of Part 1 more as Icon-A-Day 1.5. "
