This weekend we fired up the Wii and played Super Mario Galaxy for a few hours.  We haven’t played it in months, so it was fun to get back into it.  It’s a great game, and the kids love it, but I think Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite to date.  I do like the Wii controls in Galaxy, and I think it makes good use of the Wii-mote and associated controls.

On the PC I fired up Anno 1701, which is an older title, but one of my personal favorites.  I have an ongoing sandbox game I have been working on for months.  Maybe one day I will decide to finish it somehow.  I meant to download and play the Spore Creator Creator that has been out for a few weeks, but I just didn’t have the time.  I want to get that done this week so I can write up a review about it.

That was about it for me as far as games go this weekend.  What did you manage to play?

Well, besides the always popular Super Smash Bros. Brawl battles with friends, Assassin's Creed has been stuck in my 360 recently. So close to finishing!

Also tried out Mario Kart Wii at a friends... He cheats and uses a controller while I use the Wii-ll. He be a cheapo.

Sadly, nothing.  I wasn't home long enough this weekend to play anything.  Not that my PC feels like cooperating with me much lately anyway.

Today thought I get parts for my new PC.  Thinking of picking up Crysis on the way home to give the new system a workout.

I worked for pretty much all of Sturday, but the time I did have off I played quite a bit of Company of Heroes. Of course I played a bit of Team Fortress 2 (I can't remember the last time I've played such an addicitng game.) And lastly I played a game of two of baseball with MLB 08: The Show.

I played Freelancer. The MechWarrior 4 demos. I've gotta find my disk to Mercs.

I've been playing sword of the stars: born of blood for some time now.  Serious fun!

I played some Puzzle Quest, Zuma, Rock Band, GH2, and a quick game of PacMan, all on the 360.

You liked Super Mario Sunshine? Man, I hated that thing.

WORST MARIO GAME EVAR.

I was computer-less all weekend, so I didn't play anything.

Anno 1701

I have Anno 1602 or something like that, and I really liked it, but it doesn't work anymore. Do you know if 1701 is still in the same vein as that, or should I skip it?

I found Super Mario Sunshine fun, but not fun enough to *play*. I read a book once that was way more interesting. And it wasn't terribly good. Just one of those crummy Shadowrun paperbacks. Or was it Battletech? I like those too much.

I think Anno 1701 and 1602 are games in a series, though I haven't played either much. They are similar.
