Yesterday I went to the class to get licensed to carry a concelaed weapon.  The class was full with a wide range of people in age, occupation, and weirdness.  It was disturbing in some ways to see the types of people that will potentially be licensed to carry a firearm.

Well anyway's, the class itself was a couple of hours long, and basically gave basic firearms training and the laws and your rights of carrying a firearm.  The class was taught by a very knowledgeable St. Cloud police officer.  He went through various self-defense scenarios and gave advice of when and if you should use your firearm.  It was very interesting and I learned a lot of things I didn't know before.

After we had paid our class fee, had our fingerprints  and picture taken, we got our certificates and were on our way.  I finished filling out my state application at home, put in a check for about $117 and sent it off.  So now I have to wait at least three months to receive the license, so lets see how long it takes to get it in.

Good on ya!

It's great to exercise rights, isn't it.
