After being in beta for quite a while, Microsoft officially released Windows Live SkyDrive. During the beta testing users had up to 1GB of online storage, but today it was upped to a whopping 5GB! In addition to the increased storage, SkyDrive also rolled out in 35 countries as well.

"You've made two things clear since our first release: You want more space; and you want SkyDrive where you are. Today we're giving you both. You now have five times the space you had before — that’s 5GB of free online storage for your favorite documents, pictures, and other files."

I have been using SkyDrive throughout the beta period, and I have been very impressed at it's progress and usefulness. SkyDrive gives you the ability to have public and private shared folders, which is great when needing to collaborate with someone across the country, or now, across the world.
