I'm starting to think maybe we should send one hell of a message to the Gov't. Maybe we should aal either put the money away for a long time or send the money back to them. That will teach them not to be so stupid.

And they still cant learn.  I understand the republicans going for this.  They have 2 reasons that fit in well with their goals. One is a reduction in taxes - always good.  The other is they do want to suck up to the voters.

The Democrats?  Just sheer stupidity.  They don't like to reduce taxes on anyone (Oh yea, what about the poor? - what about them?  Ever seen a reduction in SS taxes?), and they have been screaming at the republicans about the deficit for the last 7 years!  ME thinks they doth protest too much.

Or have too little brains to see their own hypocrisy.
