You already see the democratic talking points coming out today that Bush is favoring war over the children.  What a bunch of nonsense this is, and they know it.  The S-CHIP bill is a fraud, and every Senator should vote no, and demand a bill that excludes the increases that are not needed.

This bill is extending coverage that will cost billions to people who are not children, families who have income up to $80,000 (more than enough to provide their own coverage), and loopholes that will allow coverage for illegal immigrants.

Democrats are using the rhetoric that this is about "not insuring" children, but that is false.  This is about more government waste solely for the purpose of more votes.

This Bill is NOT anything like a FRAUD. It will provide health coverage to over 3.5 Million Children with no insurance. The vast majority of the Senate and House agree when they passed this bill. Bush supported this in 2004 when he was running for reelection. He is such a hypocrite-- When he thought it would help him get reelected he supported it. Now he would rather send another $190 Billion for his war. Unlike his war funding bill, this Bill is self funding by increasing the tax on cigarettes.

Any GOP member of Congress that is up for reelection that does not vote to override a Bush veto of this bill needs to be held in font of the voters so they can be sent packing in November 2008!!!!!

Why do you always fail to address the issues, instead of the usual anti-Bush, anti-Republican rhetoric?  As it has been posted to you numerous times, this bill adds coverage to non-children, and people with incomes over $80,000, and loopholes for illegal immigrants.

I see you never address those issues, but continue with the DNC talking points.

The democrats are trying to phrase it as being for or against children.  And the Sheeple in the MSM are going along willingly.  YOu cant get honest reporting or facts out of the news media these days when the democrat spin machine sets the agenda

if he had line item veto he wouldn't have to veto the whole bill.
on Sep 28, 2007
No, he shouldn't. I'll elaborate later. I'm sure you'll be holding your breath in anticipation.

A Bush Veto could be the BEST tool to get rid of Republicans who continue to support the actions of a President who has distain for what the majority want and to help people in need of help. The Voters must be made to understand that issues that benefit the low and middle income Americans will be blocked unless the conservative GOP Congressmen are removed from power and we have both a Congress and a President that is more interested in the low and middle income Americans and not just the welfare of the wealthy of this country!!! The Average person will understand just how wrong denying help to the millions of Children is and I can not see how anyone that supports such a policy will be reelected to Congress.

The left's response reminds me of my old joke about the March of Dimes (until I found out they lower birth defect rates by aborting some babies with birth defects!).

I was doing a "jail and bail" event, and commented that my job would be easy. All I had to do, I said, was just use pressure. "It's for the BABIES! Do you HATE babies?!?"

Gene, you sound just like a typical democratic talking point.  All you do is talk about the children, but you have failed again to answer why coverage should be extended to people who are not children, are not poor, and allows loopholes for illegal immigrants.

What DNC talking point are you going to use now?

Nah, he is not even that smart.

Healthcare for children is fine, as well as for the poor...and illegal immigrants, why the hell not? Just because they're illegal doesn't mean they should die...right?

Rich people can suck off, however...they've got money oozing out of their ass so they can pay for their own shit.
