We hear a lot from people who want us to believe illegal immigrants are just here to work and look for a better life.  Well that may be true for some, but it seems a large amount of crimes, many violent, are committed by illegal immigrants.  Something the pro-immigration crowd and the MSM don't bother to mention.

Introduction: After conducting a 12 month in-depth study of illegal immigrants who committed sex crimes and murders for the time period of January 1999 through April 2006 , it is clear that the U.S. public faces a dangerous threat from sex predators who cross the U.S. borders illegally.

This translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day. The 1500 offenders in this study had a total of 5,999 victims. Each sex offender averaged 4 victims. This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study.

Conclusions: Illegal immigrants who commit sex crimes first cross the U.S. border illegally. Then they gradually commit worse crimes and are continually released back into society or deported. Those who were deported simply returned illegally again. Only 2% of the offenders in this study has no history of criminal behavior, beyond crossing the border illegally. There is a clear pattern of criminal escalation. From misdemeanors such as assault or DUI, to drug offenses, illegal immigrants who commit sex crimes break U.S. laws repeatedly. They are highly mobile, work in low skilled jobs with their hands, use drugs and alcohol, are generally promiscuous, have little family stability, and choose victims who are easy to attack. Their attacks are particularly brutal, and they use a hands-on method of controlling and/or killing their victims.

These numbers just don't add up. She states that 2% of illegals apprehended are sex offenders according to ICE. Then she takes this 2% figure and instead of applying it to the numbers of illegal aliens apprehended, she applies it to the entire illegal immigrant population of 12 million. Maybe this is why you don't see this reported in the MSM. Their reputations are on the line and they have to fact check. The sad thing is that this is reported as fact and then passed on all over the internet.

Below are some other statistics which I linked to the sites I found them on. Yes, I am sure there are some illegal immigrants who are sex offenders but these numbers are not accurate. I believe it is another example of a scare tactics being used to villify illegal immigrants as dangerous criminals.

"The majority of sex offenders in the FPPSS are male (95.5 percent), non-Hispanic (90.3 percent), U.S. citizens (96.4 percent), and white (64.3 percent). From 1999 to 2005, PACTS data indicated that white males accounted for a little more than 64 percent of the FPPSS sex offender population and were on average 41 years old. Black males constituted slightly more than 16 percent of all sex offenders and were 37.5 years of age. American Indian and Alaska Native10 men made up 17 percent of the sex offender population and had an average age of 35.5 years. "

"A comprehensive study of incarceration rates by nativity (using Census data for the institutionalized population in the U.S., which are practically the only national or statewide data available for such purposes), shows that Mexican-born men have an incarceration rate of 0.7 percent, compared with 1.71 percent for non-Hispanic whites, 11.6 percent for blacks, and 5.9 percent for Mexican Americans."

Well I'm not going to look up all fifty states stats. The numbers in the second quote are from census data.

And to see your little (inaccurate) factoid thoroughly debunked...WWW Link

No, it is biased. He is comparing the incarceration numbers of the second generation descendents who were born in this country and are citizens. Yes, the stats are accurate for Mexican born illegal immigrants. Yes, the next generation does see an increase in incarceration but they are not the illegal immigrants. How does this debunk the numbers? We are not talking about hispanics or Mexican-American incarceration rates, we are talking about illegal immigrant incarceration rates.

We can throw stats back and forth at each other all day. The original posted numbers are BS. Yes, some illegal aliens are criminals. Not the numbers that are presented as a scare tactic.

As I said, not all illegal immigrants are dangerous criminals, but there is clear indication that illegal immigrants are bringing more crime to communities across America.

I'm planning to immigrate illegally in the U.S., but don’t worry, I’m the good one. I really like here, in Latvia, but there are 2-3 times lower prices in the U.S. and also we have 2-3 times lower salaries here. Why should I stay?

It's amazing how people are such apologists for illegal immigrants.
