In another edition of the tolerant and "non-partisan" democrats in South Florida comes this ridiculous news of how Broward County officials were considering not renewing a deal between the county and a radio station which features Rush Limbaughs show.  The radio station has been the "official" emergency news stations for events like a Hurricane emergency.

Communications administers wanted this station to keep the deal because they have the strongest signal, and the radio station guaranteed live coverage during emergencies.  Commissioners claimed to be "deluged" with complaints about county ties with a radio station because it broadcasts Limbaughs show.  One Commissioner said "
she didn't want to patronize the station because of Limbaugh and other conservative programming".  More tolerance and non-partisanship there.

Despite the complaints of democrats it seems Commissioners have taken the advice of communication staffers, and will most likely keep the current deal with the station.  This is just another great example of how democrats will make anything a partisan matter, even hurricane emergencies, all because of their obsessive hatred with Limbaugh and conservatives.

It does show their pettiness. Radio stations are in business to make money. Limbaugh makes them money. I doubt half the stations that carry him agree with him (WJNO in Palm Beach carries both his show and Randi Rhodes).

Maybe their next viewing should be the Godfather.

This is nothing but pure politics from the people who try and constantly blame republicans for being partisan.  You don't have to like Limbuagh or agree with him, but if this station is the best resource for the counties emeregency needs, then playing politics is just nonsense.

It would have been interesting if they did lose the deal with Limbaugh. Then with listenership significantly down few would hear the emergency!

unlike those currently running the country who've persistently ignored expert advice, intelligence reports and demonstrably valid research data--not to mention common sense--for (at best) purely partisan purposes.

so you're saying their national guard ain't much of an emergency resource?
