As usual, if this was a Republican the media would have non-stop coverage of this.

SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein.

On the other hand, if she were a Republican, she mostly would not have resigned.

ID, want some popcorn? Just fuel for the fire in 08 and beyond! Only 3 months into this new regime, and the stink is worse than an outhouse in 100 degree sun!

Can anyone say culture of corruption? Why is it that there is not an investigation into this? Oh I forgot that only Republicans can be corrupt.

The real problem is Republicans are so afraid to raise any fuss over this.

This goes exactly with what I said the other day of how the media favors democrats and this is the latest example.

It's nice to know she stepped aside.......after she got the money!!!!!! And by the way, has anyone noticed that these were DEFENSE contracts? Sweet Dianne couldn't have been profiting off of the war, could she? Certainly not. I refuse to believe that one of the most outspoken members of the left against the war would be turning a profit from it. Hey, but whether she was right or wrong, she just made a mistake. Her "heart" is in the right place, and that's all that matters to the left. A member of the Democrat party just isn't "evil" like a Republican. They simply make mistakes of judgment with none of that "evil" capitalism intent that the Republicans so often demonstrate. Why would a member of the media desire to report on an error of judgment when there is so many "evil right wingers" to go after?

Wait a minute? All that crap about Halliburton getting no bid contracts and Senator Feinstein’s husband took home over a billion dollars in defense contracts, and she was the one that approved those contracts. Nice job if you can get it!

As I said before, this is the perfect example of how democrats get favorable treatment from the media.
