Microsoft plans to roll out its "Office Live" service in mid-November. Office Live, which doesn't include any online Office programs, is a set of online business services such as e-mail and web hosting. Over 100,000 people have enrolled in the beta which was unveiled earlier this year.

Office Live Basics (free) will include 500MB's of storage, and 25 e-mails accounts with 2GB of storage available. There are also several other paid plans which include extra services such as a business contact manager.

Would you use this service for your business, or for yourself?

Ive been using the beta this summer to coordinate projects with my brother, who is on the other side of the country. It's very handy - project management/tracking, contact sharing, scheduling, notes, customer tracking, employee tracking, etc. It basically puts Business Contact Manager on crack and syncs it to the web in the way that outlook integrates with an MSN premium hotmail account - all your data is online, shared between any number of computers.

However it was a very slow system during the testing phase, partly because of browser imcompatabilities. I need to try it out again at release... makes for easy sharing of project/account information, especially for people working remotely.
