Some of the skins I've made still don't work on this version. The scripting must be different now
That really bites.
It seems to be a bit faster when perusing the library. There is a new option (or I've just never noticed it before) that allows you to go automatically into the mini player mode when you play files with certain text. I just put *.wma LOL
Some of the skins I've downloaded are showing magic pink now. That *should* be easily fixed.
Will check out how it works with my Zen Micro in a bit. See what else I can break.

I've got the first beta of 11 and the 30gig Zen video, It works very well to sync and go with it...also the browesing of it from within 11 is easy too....Hopefully the new beta will work as well...

Although WindowsMediaPlayer 11 Beta 2 is faster and it has cleaner design, aswell as new features, I would have to say that Beta 1 is better.
Yes Most skins don't work with beta 2, I don't know why, but some skins are missing files or have lost their color.
I did remove WMP 11 Beta 2 from my system and I'm still using WMP11 Beta 1 until the skin issue is fixed.
To remove it just system restore to the date it was installed.

just installed it. it works a bit faster then wmp 10. although I don't like the new look because it's soooooo black and dark otherwise the library view is very cool and easy to navigate.

Amazing to think that skinnability takes precedence over functionality and features.
At long last, media players on networked computers can share their libraries! AND devices!
I've got a large library, the new player smokes right through it. I like the 'compact mode' as opposed to the 'skin mode', though they should still have a skin mode option. I wonder why you still have to right click on the title bar to bring up important options. It's agaisnt the whole design of the player.

Yeah.. I'd say Beta 2 is better than the first...
However, some notable problems...
-WMP is "trying" to become iTunes.. As noticable of a rip off it looks with URGE..
-I have roughly 80,000 files to import... And it errors out whenever I try (same as I did in Beta 1).. I'd like to see "massive library support". Or importation if you'd prefer that term...

WMP isn't trying to become iTunes, it's already better than iTunes. I've subscribed to URGE, and now I can download and play as much music as I want to for just $10/month. And unlike other services such as Rhapsody, URGE is 100% completely and seamlessly integrated into WMP 11, so I can manage my URGE music alongside my other MP3s and WMAs from inside a single program, all with auto-organized folders, album art, and indexed searches.
Very slick, IMO.

WOW! And I though my library with 4500 songs was big...

Werewolf...I know what you mean. I have a Zen 30GB and I tried to upgrade my firmware after WMP 11 and I lost all my tunes, luckily they were on my HD but I had to uninstall WMP 11 and go back to WMP 10 just to restore my Firmware. I talked to Creative and they said they will have a fix soon...we'll see. Oh well I love my Zen so I'll wait!

Mark, glad to hear Creative is going to fix this. I think this is the cause of probably 80% of the firmware/"it's not connected" problems on those boards.
