The poor and Iraq

It simply amazes me how a radical liberal col can somehow link Iraq with the poor in this country. The col basically said if we take the money spent in Iraq we can buy Americans everything they want. I have heard this countless times with every kind of spending. The liberal philosephy is welfare, and don't succeed for yourself. Democrats have helped people stay poor so their voting base is secure.

I have written before and many people agree. Being poor is mostly a choice. The welfare system in this country should be eliminated and a system setup that only helps people who truely can't work. People on welfare have more children to get more, and there is no incentive to find a job.

This is what our "tax dollars" that liberals care so much about goes to.

But when broken down by income, disparities emerge: In 2001, US women living below the federal poverty line were four times as likely to have an unplanned pregnancy, five times as likely to have an unplanned birth, and more than three times as likely to have an abortion as women with income at least double the poverty line ($9,800). And these disparities are growing, reports the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive-health research organization formerly affiliated with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In 1994, poor women were three times as likely as higher-income women to have an unplanned pregnancy.

There are almost countless jobs available to all Americans who can work. The next thing liberals here claim is they can't make a "living wage". However the living wage for liberals is a new car, cell phone, and a house. Food and shelter can be had in this country for very little. I don't see the concerned liberals here opening their homes or giving half their salary to help these poor.

So the liberals new tactic here is blame Iraq for people staying poor. What a sad and pathetic view that these people have resorted to.
