GameSpy has posted their review of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion !  “Rebellion doesn't stop there -- nearly every system in Sins has been modified in some way, most notably the Diplomacy research tree. It's now far more useful, thanks to faction-specific researchable bonuses that unlock for both you and an ally. And the pirates, which conduct raids at fixed intervals against the player with the biggest player-set bounty on his head? They're much fiercer in Rebell...

PC Gamer - http://www.pcgamer.com/review/sins-of-a-solar-empire-rebellion-review/

“Bigger and more stable than ever, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion will happily strip-mine your life of its free time.”

Game Informer - http://www.gameinformer.com/games/sins_of_a_solar_empire_rebellion/b/pc/archive/2012/06/12/review.aspx

“Rebellion isn’t a massive departure for Sins of a Solar Empire, but it’s a good enough reason to get back into the game or to discover for the first time one of the more interesting evolutions of the strategy genre in recent memory.”

Those of you looking to get your feet wet in 3D scenery might want to check out Vue 10.5 xStream / Infinite Personal Learning Edition.  This is a free app from e-on software that has all the features of their high-end 3D applications.  There are limitations on exporting such as watermarks, but this is a really cool app to get you started before making an investment. http://www.vue10.com/ple/

Neogamr got a chance to speak with Blair Fraser and Chris Bray about Sins: Rebellion! “ How did the idea for Rebellion come about? Blair Fraser : Ironclad and Stardock are always collecting a ton of ideas for new Sins content and mechanics. The trick is always finding a cohesive package to organize it within. We knew the next expansion was certainly going to be more militaristic than the previous expansion (Diplomacy) and we knew we wanted more faction different...

Makeuseof.com takes a look at the recently released WindowFX 5 and gives their impressions on it. "These new features alone make the free download worthwhile, but the animations don’t hurt, either: Even on a computer which is no powerhouse animations are silky-smooth and fun to watch. The free version comes with several animation options, so you can swap them around if you ever get tired of your original choices. Definitely a fun application, and this latest release looks great." ...
