Can anything go right for democrats? Migration from liberal bastions in the Northeast and Midwest to the Sun Belt states will boost Republican electoral strength in the coming decade, making it tougher than ever for Democrats to win the presidency without carrying states in the South or Southwest. The Census Bureau's latest projection of population shifts, the first in eight years, shows a dramatic movement from the North to Southern and Western states over the next 30 years. The st...

But liberals keep telling me Iraq is a quagmire. BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister said Tuesday that U.S. and other foreign troops could begin handing over security to Iraqis in selected cities, although he opposes setting a timetable for the complete withdrawal of multinational forces. Link

I wonder if the col will criticize these democrats for their stances on immigration? At a time of sustained, mass immigration, a glut of unskilled foreign workers, unrelenting illegal immigration and fiscal overload, Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., propose to flood America with more of the same. Their recently introduced legislation, S. 1033, creates two supposedly temporary work visas. Those programs are vehicles to legalize all 10-12 million illegal aliens. T...

Very good article on Iraq's terror connections. "In August 1998, the detainee traveled to Pakistan with a member of Iraqi Intelligence for the purpose of blowing up the Pakistan, United States and British embassies with chemical mortars." U.S. government "Summary of Evidence" for an Iraqi member of al Qaeda detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba FOR MANY, the debate over the former Iraqi regime's ties to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network ended a year ago with the release of the 9/11 C...

More from the "religion of peace". Responding to questions about the terrorist attack on London, a Muslim scholar in the British capital asserted Islam makes no distinction between civilians and military targets. "The term 'civilians' does not exist in Islamic religious law," said Hani Al-Siba'i, head of the Al-Maqreze Centre for Historical Studies in London. Link

Sounds like extortion to me. As usual blaming their problems of today on something else, and taking no personal responsibility. MILWAUKEE -- The NAACP will target private companies as part of its economic agenda, seeking reparations from corporations with historical ties to slavery and boycotting companies that refuse to participate in its annual business diversity report card. "Absolutely, we will be pursuing reparations from companies that have historical ties to slavery and en...

When will people start to understand that these groups who support the radical DNC will gain nothing? Here is another example of another organization losing everything because of their support for democrats. They call it a perfect storm—a confluence of events creating a crisis of major proportions—and organized labor may have one on its hands. Leaders within the AFL-CIO (search) are currently brawling over how to reverse organized labor’s declining political clout. After spending a...

Once again the media tried to use their propaganda. LONDON - In a July 9 story about Prime Minister Tony Blair's comments on overcoming global terrorism, The Associated Press erroneously reported that he spoke of easing the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. Blair did not specifically mention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in his interview with the British Broadcasting Corp. Link

I have been seeing reports all day that the Cheif Justice will retire also. This will guarantee the self-destruction of the democratic party.

Thousands of Muslims crowded London mosques for Friday prayers, condemning the bombings, but also wary they could be made scapegoats and fearful of reprisals against their growing and vibrant community. At the East London Mosque, near the site of one of Thursday's attacks, an imam told the 8,000 worshippers to be "confident in our identity" as part of London's multicultural fabric. The mosque said it had received hate e-mails and a telephone threat to disrupt Friday prayers. A few police...

What will the col say now? Wall Street ended a volatile and unusual week on a bullish note Friday, with the Dow Jones industrials gaining more than 146 points on the strength of a positive job creation report and a sharp drop in oil prices. As European markets surged higher one day after the deadly terrorist bombings in London, Wall Street welcomed the Labor Department's jobs report. While the 146,000 jobs created in June were less than the 195,000 economists hoped for, the unemploy...

Something I have noticed since the bombings in London is that most of the usual liberals are silent. Every post I have been reading the usual liberals here have disappeared. I see the posts that people say how we need to destroy the terrorists, the only liberals that do show up are the one's that say we shouldn't and it's the fault of U.S. and Israel for terrorism. Are they remaining silent because they know their passive approach is not the answer?

I was reading about the coverage from the arab media, especially from stations like al-jazeera. The common theme is that most of the arab media are going back to the usual scapegoat. Blaming the israelis for all the problems. No matter what happens in the world leave it to the arabs and their so-called media to blame everything on Israel. Pathetic.
