HTML clipboard This time I wanted to take a look at what was "hot" in the Logons category here on WinCustomize.  These are logons for LogonStudio XP.  I found some really great ones that I will probably start using again.  It just shows you some of the terrific skins you can find just by browsing the galleries from years past. Today, lets go back to around late 2005 and see what we find. ...

Community member Wulfn1 has been doing a superb job lately of featuring and reviewing desktops.  She has put together some really good looking desktops to show this week, and although she's going to post the reviews every two weeks during the summer, I still look forward to the coming posts.  Click the article links to view the latest review.

Monday.....yay!  It's always a fun start of the week, but if you were outside on the grill, or just a couple of days of relaxation, you might have missed some submissions over the weekend.  No worries, as I labored all morning to find some skins from the weekend that will "brighten" your Monday morning.

Episode 10 is now up, and we have now hit the double digit number of podcasts!  This week Mike & I sit down with Seabass, from which many of you might recognize from the forums.  Last week was all about the release of Impulse, so Seabass shared his views of Impulse, and was kind enough to give a few support tips that might make your Impulse experience a bit better. The second half of the show we talked about Seabass and his design skills, including a new upcoming suite.  If ...

Episode 9 is in the bag and we just keep going and going and going!  This week it's just Mike and I, and in this episode we have a great discussion on tech news in general.  Specifically this week, we cover the impending release of Stardock's Impulse, Firefox 3.0, the iPhone 3G announcement, and Long Zheng's UX Taskforce.  I really the fact that we have an "open" format where we are not stuck in a routine and can adapt each week to what is going on in the skinning commun...

In the last couple of articles we have looked at wallpapers and cursor themes from a few years back, so today I thought we could take a browse through the DesktopX widget gallery and see what we come up with.  I went back to 2005 to see "what was hot" then. As always, let us know if you remember or still use any of these widgets today.

You have heard a lot of news lately about MyColors, so I thought today I would kick off yet another series of articles.  This series will take you through desktop "tours" of the various MyColors themes, and even new WindowBlinds skin and suites. A few weeks ago I pulled up some of the popular wallpapers on WinCustomize from about 5 years back.  Today, I wanted to do the same thing, but this time with cursors.  Looking back quite a few years to around this time in 2004, the CursorXP gallery, now CursorFX, was just buzzing with activity. Take a look at some of the incredible submissions from back then, which are all still great to use to this day. I see several names we don't see m...

I thought it would be fun to take a look back to around this time in 2003 and see what was going on in the galleries, specifically wallpapers.  Going through the hundreds of pages of wallpapers I noticed quite a few familiar names, and some for reasons unknown, we just don't see anymore. Over the years in skinning and customization, we see trends come and go often.  Some do stay around, and after seeing what seemed like countless wallpaper entries I noticed that you could still reco...
