You can count on me watching it  .

I am curious about those reimagined Klingons, i wonder how are they going to explain the clear visual differences against the original shows, when they claim its supposed to be set in the "Prime" universe. Personally, i call BS. Either the explanation will turn out total crap, or even more likely, there wont be any explanation at all. But we shall see.

Ultimately, as long as it will be good, i wont really care either way.

Someone said it was Crap....Then again they said TNG was too so...

-I think I'll like it !

I thought it was pretty good. The only I really didn't like was what they did with the Klingons.

Going to take some getting used to. Special effects were great but still ......

Time will tell.

First episode was pretty good. Not good enough to pay for a service for one show only. But then, no show could be good enough for me to do that.

Perhaps I'll get the service at the end of the season and binge it over a weekend. Good thing with that is by then there will be a plethora of reviews to see if it is worth it. Ideally, their service fails and they put it on OTA broadcasting.

Island Dog: Any reason this Movies & TV & Books sub forum doesn't show up on the GalCiv3 forums page? There is a concurrent thread started there via the Life Universe and Everything sub-forum. Both sub-forums (fora?, forii?) show up when viewing via the elemental forums.

I never liked any of the Trek shows other than the original, and TNG. All the rest were crap, IMO.

So, I didn't even bother to watch this one.  My loss?  Maybe, maybe not.

No way they can keep the level of CGI up that we saw in episode 1 and 2, this was above star trek movie quality.

I'm concerned that Star Trek was never meant to be a war series. In fact I seem to recall the original visionary saying as much. As for the Klingon, they are so re-made that they may as well be a completely different species. It was a shame that they decided to kill off two of the most interesting characters in the show. The vulcan-in-a-box is also going to get tiresome quickly.

I'm going to have to approach episode 3 as the benchmark for the series. While 1 and 2 were exceptional, they were obviously pumping a ton of resources into them to get people tuning in next week. No way the series can keep such a high quality.

 Lost interest after 20 minutes.

Great, will watch it.

Nah, it was not that great. Despite their claim this to be set in Prime universe, it actually felt like another JJ-Trek. Acting was not great either and the special effects above movie? With all the crappy blurred backgrounds and camera looking into some light source every 5 seconds? Compared to say Rogue One effects this was pretty weak.

Will continue to watch further though, it still can be good.
