Getting bug reports from the community is a HUGE help to development. With that in mind, here’s a list of some of the big ones we know about, things we could use help tracking down, and features that are just yet-to-be-implemented.

The most useful thing for us (and often the hardest part) is getting clear, simple steps to reproduce a bug. Screenshots and video are great helps too.

Let us know what you find!

Compatibility/Stability
  • Significant multiplayer stability issues (currently a major focus for us)
  • Game sometimes stays on initial load screen indefinitely
  • Game hangs when headphones are unplugged or audio output switched
  • Some integrated and older D3D12 hardware which is binding tier 1 is not yet supported in DX12 mode
  • CPU benchmark option can be unstable

Performance
  • Low framerate if Crossfire or SLI is enabled. These features are not yet supported and enabling them can decrease performance until they are.
  • TONS of optimization work still to be done.

Gameplay
  • Engineer building queues sometimes disappear
  • Lots of balance work still to be done

UI
  • Steam Overlay doesn’t support DX12 yet

Visual
  • Game sometimes displays tinted pink or purple (suspected driver issue, still investigating)

    • Driver stops responding on Nvidia 860m laptop GPU (we’d love feedback if any 860m users are or are not getting this issue)

I have a 860m in a asus G551M. It happened once to me in over 10 hours of play with dx12 version and 30 with DX11 version. And it was at launch with a build which anyway didn't work with DX12 version. I believe it was 0.55 but I'm not sure of that. In my experience the game works fine or won't start at all. I tryed 3 sub version of 0.60 and they seems fine. I have yet to try this morning update.

Thanks Gatokatcha, good info!

You're welcome. I've  play a few minutes with this morning build. I've a feeling the game is responding badly to my clicks. I have to repeat right clicks a couple of time before the blue line shows up. Unit selection seems a bit more sluggish. It was a bit like this in previous build but I think it's more noticeable in this one.

That was the dx12 version. I go try the dx11

The dx11 version is more responsive than with the previous build. It's now much more playable than the dx12 version on my machine.

At the moment, the 'Steam early Access' is purchasable on steam for those of us with Founders packs.  This probably should not be possible, in case someone accidentally clicks and spends money for nothing (effectively).

There has been a second build on the 22th and the dx12 version has stop working with my 860m. It crashed to the desktop during initializing probably just before the game logo movie. DX11 still fine.

on Oct 23, 2015

The dx12 version started the second time I tryed. I've made a benchmark there is a large improvement from 0.60.13732 which was at 18.7 fps. I've yet to try how it plays.

Odd, is this within Steam or on their website? It should say "Play now" or like this:

This is from the website:

Hello there. I don't know if this is the right thread so you may correct me when i have to post otherwhere (and please excuse my spelling and grammatical faults, i am no native english speaker). Additionally I am not used to use Jing and how to paste them in this reply so you may have to click on them to look at them (uploaded them to sreencast.com).

I use MSI-Afterburner to see my stats while playing. I just recognized that its On-Screen-Displaying does not work with Ashes DX12 Version. Additionally, when I scale my Interface from 1.0 to e.g. 0.8, in DX12 only the Interface shows up when starting a new game:

I have a native resolution of 1600x1200 (I use a 20 years old screen with 4:3) but changed it to 1600x900 for and in Ashes.

Then the second thing connected with the Interface scaling is, that the Menu won't disappear ingame (compare the time marks on the following pictures):

The_Gear-  That is what it looks like now, but only after I activated my lifetime membership.  I purchased the standard Founders package (which I would note, is actually $5 more than the current EA price-kind of funny to read how I was saving $5, but no worries), and then purchased on the 21st the upgrade to the the lifetime founders edition (squeaking in under the wire).  Without inputting the second code emailed to me, it showed it as an option to purchase Ashes for myself at the $39.95 price point.  Once I input the Lifetime Founders code emailed to me, the screen shifted and showed 'already in library', like in your screenshots.

Again, this is a relatively minor issue, but I was wondering if it possibly could be showing some underlying bug or something.

I believe it may be more of a Steam issue if its showing you could purchase it. As long as you had it in your library you're all set.

Implement ability to cancel building construction.

Create multiple races/factions with versatile differences.

I just bought it for $39.95.  I had received the email about the founders thing but didn't get around to it at the time but I have been watching for this game a bit so I decided to buy the pre-beta.  So sounds like you were seeing that offer which as far as I know is open to anyone.

It's relatively moot, but I had bought and activated my founder's package some time before (then later upgrading to the lifetime edition).  Been irregularly playing the game since august.  I should not have had the -option- to purchase the game for myself at $39.95- and once I put in my second code (to go from founders->founders lifetime), it vanished.  That's all this was a comment on.  It could also have been Steam just being hit up with load and/or confused for a few hours.

No harm, no foul.
