I really haven't checked on all the releases that are scheduled for 2015, but there's a few that I can definitely say I'm exciting about.

Of course I'm excited for Sorcerer King and Galactic Civilizations coming this year, but we should talk about other games too.  Right?

Some other ones I'm looking forward to:

  • Star Wars: Battlefront
  • The Division

So what are the games of 2015 that you are waiting for?

Is evolution like a strategy version of spore, because if you put a game in spore it would be good. Hint make it a RTS.

Just Stardock Games at this point (or games that Stardock is tied to).

You buy games in STORES!?   That is SO 1990

on Jan 11, 2015

When you are in Australia and pay through the nose for bandwidth....yes, you buy them in stores.

I'm not paying $30 or $40 to download a game.....AND buy the fucker in the first place....

Easier to go into one of those so 1990 stores.....

$30 for a little bandwidth??

Here in Sweden in nearly all cities, bandwidth is free. You pay per month and download/upload as much as you want. In the major cities we got fiber (25/10, 100/10 and even 1000/not sure). Hell, even 16 years ago (when I was 16  ) ADSL was unlimited. Paying for bandwidth was in the old 56K era.

Why haven't Australia gotten fiber yet?   Only other 1st world country that's so behind would be US and I bet they don't pay so much for a little bandwidth.

I pay about $90 AUD for 25gig per month.

The reason we need to pay is infrastructure.  Australia is a 'little' bit bigger than Sweden....not much smaller than the USA...but its population is less than 10% of the US...so the cost of connection is shared over fewer people....

You do the math...but the cost to me of all those addons into FSX, [though free aircraft] adds up to quite a bit...when you have 200gig+ of them to download...

Top it off and we have a moron-led Liberal Govt who watered down the fibre upgrade plans of the previous.

Holy shit, I pay like 20 USD and I easily break 25gb per day.

But surely it is cheaper in your australian cities?

Um....I AM in an Australian city .... the second biggest...and can WALK to the CBD [city center] in about 30 minutes...

Not talking about the Outback...where you can be 500 miles from the nearest traffic light...

on Jan 11, 2015

I pay about $40AUD for about 100 GB a month, though there is a 250GB plan for the same price (I don't need it as I normally don't do very heavy downloading).  Though there is an unlimited one for $50AUD a month.

on Jan 12, 2015

I checked...to be accurate it's $69.95 a month for 50gig ... still a lot more than most...

Thanks, Abbot, you one-term failure, you....

But if you're in a city I don't think the argument about population density makes much sense. I mean yeah, Sweden is relatively small but capita per square km would still be a thousand times higher in an australian city.

You don't understand the logistics of distance.  High density populations have a high 'contribution' rate for infrastructure per KM or per square KM.

Even Melbourne is comparitively NOT  densely populated....the greater Melbourne is the same land area as the greater London...and London has 4+ times the population....ergo it's infrastructure cost is close to a quarter per capita.

Fallout 4 is 'rumored' to becoming out the last quarter of 1015, or first quarter of 1016.  So, 'hopefully' you haven't missed it yet.

This thread made me do a little research and it looks like there is no release date for Fallout 4, and in fact there are some rumors that it has been put on the back burner because Bethesda wants to push out Elder Scrolls 6 first.
