Sometime today the Windows Insider Program will launch and people will be able to download the Windows 10 Technical Preview.

Windows Insider Program: http://preview.windows.com/

It should be noted that this is a Technical Preview and should not be installed for use as your main operating system.  If you aren't familiar with any of this, I'd advise just waiting until next year when it fully released.

Quoting starkers,

As for Win 10, still haven't been able to play with it yet, though I am thinking of pulling out one of my towers to convert alot of videos for Steve, in which I do have a spare drive to mount Win 10 to give it a test run.

Starkers....get yourself a copy of Oracle VirtualBox ....saves all the hassle...

Yeah, already have it, but I still need to get out my main rig because there's no editing/converting video on this piddling laptop, nor do I think it capable of running Virtual Box with an OS installed, CPU, RAM and space-wise... and her desktop machine needs work before it can be used.

Besides, I want to run Win 10 directly on hardware to put it through its paces and see what it is capable of, and I'm not going to get the same experience from inside a virtual machine.
