It’s so good they skipped Windows 9 altogether!

LOL

Really? Lol, marketing.

I bet they would do this to be the same version as apple, which is weird since apple sucks and is just a hippster brand.

LMAO!!

Edit: Has MS forgotten that their track record for even numbered OS's suck. Oy!

Well, considering that they never really followed a numerical sqeuence in their titles anyways, I guess I am not surprised.

Updated post.

... what are the chances that things like security suites will work with win 10 preview any time soon?

on Sep 30, 2014

... now I'm just confused. The joke going around is that every other windows released is horrible. Win 95, ME, Vista, 8. If they're skipping a number, does that mean they skipped the good one?

Ooooooooooooooook.

I can't help to notice they're still using state-of-the-art "the future is here" style graphics

OMG this is real! How stupid are these people! What happened to windows 9...oh ya they just renamed it :/

why are they called windows? Why not doors 10 or walls 10 and will they do the smart thing and make it more like windows 7? All windows recently are very similar with basic cosmetic changes and hopefully people will get smart (not likely) and demand compatibility and user friendly options.

DARCA.

Latest update (from the Verge):

"Microsoft's Joe Belfiore unveiled Windows 10's biggest improvement yet: the command prompt. Your mom is probably very excited to hear about it. Power users will now be able to use CTRL+V to paste in directories, which is actually a welcome change. Copy and paste is important. (Especially for those of us who've been able to do this in command prompts for years on other OSes). But don't worry, it still looks exactly as you'd expect it to look. It's also probably not touch-enabled. Sorry."

Not touch enabled! Noooo! Illhave to do it the adult proper way!

lol

May the Lord have mercy on us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on Sep 30, 2014

The video suggests it IS touch enabled. Good thing too, since I just traded the 30 inch IPS monitor for a 24 inch touchscreen.

If they're skipping a number, does that mean they skipped the good one?
