I'll keep the shadow I made for testing to myself.  

I would of still like the ability to change windowblind skins shadows.

can't imagen a awsome company like stardock would not update it to work with their other software...  but untill they do i will not be using it

It is not designed to work with WindowBlinds.

A WindowBlinds skin has its own shadows.  If you want to change those you can pick a different skin or edit the skin using SkinStudio.  ShadowFX shadows have to work assuming things about the window shape (i.e. it is square edged) that simply may not be true with a WB skin.

So, this is mainly for 8 users who do not have/use WindowBlinds.

I shudder at the thought...lol...

It's a neat tool for those don't like drastic GUI change,yet still obtained customizing other than just the change the color themes and wallpapers. Now maybe add the transparent effect on the windows would be a plus. 

WindowsFX makes Inactive windows transparent.

I purchased Shadow FX with the assumption it would of course integrate smoothly and efficiently with Stardocks other products, such as Window Blinds. The message that "Custom shadows are disabled when a WindowBlinds skin is applied" is a real disappointment. I'm very surprised it doesn't address full integration with WindowBlinds.

I'm waiting to see how Skin Editor can be used to bypass the restrictions and limitations to allow ShadowFX.

Have you read carefully on what Neil said,you would be noticed that ShadowFx and Windowblinds has intertwined functionality. 

The phrase "intertwined functionality" implies some level of integration between the two products -- and I do not see in Neils comments where he says that.

He said (1) ShadowFax is not designed to work with WindowBlinds, and (2) you would have to EDIT the skin, presumably, to get it to work and even then, it might not.

I think a few have missed what it's about.

This is a proggy to add shadows to the standard Win 8 GUI.

People who have/use Windowblinds already have that function -a Windowblind can have shadows already....

Exactly,yet,people still whining about not work with Windowblinds whatsoever.
