It's no secret the Steam Summer Sale will be arriving soon, and I've been reading threads on other forums about it.  I've added a bit of money to my Steam wallet, but there really isn't anything I can think of that I'm really waiting for a big sale to hit.

I'm probably forgetting about a few games and I'll remember them if I see them, but I still have a backlog from past sales, so I'm just going to wait and see what get put on sale.

Is there anything you are wanting to grab in the sale?

Feeling nostaligic these days. I loved playing LucasArts games such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle etc. Something about the puzzles and the humor makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

This voting system is depressing. The rpg bundle lost, Age of Wonders III for $20 lost, and now this 4x bundle will probably lose as well.

Don't worry i'm sure age of wonders will be on a flash sale or daily at some point.

Isn't an expansion to Age of Wonders III coming soon?

on Jun 29, 2014

They've been hinting at some kind of dlc/expansion, yeah. Kind of soon after release, if you ask me.

List of stuff bought from steam sale:

- Dungeon of the Endless - pixel to founder upgrade

- Space hulk + dlc

- Mount & Blade Complete

- Forced

- X-Com: Enemy Within

- FTL (couldn't find my old purchase, was easier to buy new hah)

- Skyrim DLC

- State of Decay

I wish Asscreed 4: Black Flag would have gone lower but it was like 25€, so about 35 in American money. Didn't feel like a proper sale to me. Spoiled I am!

The final sale right now Asscreed 4: Black Flag is going for $20 (50% off) You must have missed the flash sale before.

It's 50% off €50 now, so €25 which is ~$35. Sounds like a region thing.

Only thing I bought is the Geneforge series.

I had a £20/~$40 steam wallet balance from a birthday gift and used it all. Got about 4-5 games if I remember correctly. I started with Mortal Kombat Komplete, which is actually really fun. I expected it to be the arcade style, but the story mode is actually really really good.

I managed to not purchase a single thing during the Steam summer sale.  It was a combination of fairly stern self-control, plus there not being a whole lot that really attracted my attention.  (It helps I play mostly strategy games, which limits the opportunities for temptation.

There were a few games from my wish list that went on sale but I resisted the temptation to purchase as well. I still have a back log of games not touched from their Christmas sale.

I thought about getting AOW III but have since read many reviews which changed my mind about purchasing the game (not the game for me I think).

Like you Martok, I mostly play strategy games (single player only) and that curtails my buying habits greatly.

Besides I'm heavily into Civ V (BNW) now and really getting a lot of enjoyment from that game (and expansion), more than enough to keep me busy until the release of GalCiv III.
