Just wanted to drop the news over here that Multiplicity 3 is now available on the new Edgerunner store.

"EdgeRunner today released Multiplicity v3, a major new version of its industry-leading software keyboard/video/mouse (KVM) solution. Multiplicity v3 adds true KVM support and more to its already unique and powerful feature set.

Multiplicity v3's new KVM capabilities allow users to view up to nine PCs’ displays as active thumbnails on a single monitor, switch between them using a mouse click or hotkeys, and control them all with a single keyboard and mouse. Users can lock or unlock all the connected PCs with a single command, and drag-and-drop files or copy/paste text and images across connected PCs as if they were a single machine. Multiplicity v3 also adds support for touch displays, integrating Windows 8 systems seamlessly with older Windows releases."

More info about Multiplicity 3 can be found here.

Neil,

Any chance of a Mac version? Not as the master, just a client.

It would be very handy in my environment..

I just spent an hour testing it with youtube videos, file transfers, etc. I love the hotkey feature, and the KVM screen is like Excalpius said, truly top notch. Up there with Splashtop, perhaps better, judging by the load on the CPU. Truly impressed.

I'm currently stuck with virtual machines and don't have the chance to test out some DirectX programs, could anyone tell me if they work? Fullscreen especially.

Fullscreen DirectX games will not work correctly as they exclusively own the display.  Some games (most of the SD ones) will run in a window that's sized fullscreen and those would actually work and I think Windows Store apps also may be happy.  However many games update almost every single pixel every frame which means the bandwidth required will be considerably higher than the more common use cases.

Ideally we would need a game optimised algorithm for games and would have to implement custom handling for fullscreen DirectX apps which isn't something we have right now and I don't know if there is sufficient demand.

All previous owners of MP were emailed with discount and upgrade options (email would have come from EdgeRunner).  If you did not get one, check your junk \ spam folder.  Email support@edgerunner.com if you cant find it and Ill send you a coupon.
