We talked about our favorite games of 2013 in another post, so lets go forward and talk about what we are looking forward to in 2014.

There seems to be lots of games coming in 2014, and these are just a few of that I can think of off the top of my head.

  • Tropico 5
  • Clockworks Empire
  • Watch Dogs
  • The Division
  • GTA V
  • Titanfall (maybe)
  • Assassin's Creed Unity
  • Far Cry 4

What are you looking forward to this year?

Uh... Good question, now I need to remember what I really wait.

In no particular order:

  • Witcher 3.
  • Book of Eschalon 3.
  • Banished.
  • American Truck Simulator (no questions asked!), and look forward to any add-ons SCS may have in their sleeve for us for ETS2.
  • Divinity Original Sin.
  • Continuation of Endless series (I already have Dungeons). Probably here be all other Early Access games I own.
  • Wargame Red Dragon.
  • I really wait when Egosoft is going to fix X-Rebirth.
  • Wasteland 2.
  • Pillars of Eternity.
  • And, of course, Tropico and GTA 5.

Gal Civ 3 is the only one on my Must Have List. If I buy any other game this year(outside of humble indie bundles, I almost always pick those up) It'll probably just be something I've wanted for a while thats gone on sale.

  • GalCiv 3
  • Distant Worlds: Universe
  • Stardrive: Unity
  • Age of Wonders 3
  • Watch Dogs
  • Planetary Anihiliation
  • Endless Legend
  • RimWorld
  • Starbound
  • Ultimate General: Gettysburg
  • M.O.R.E.

I'll add more as I remember. So many good games this year....

Planetfall (also a maybe, hope its good so EA don't screw this up & kinda upset that no mods bs line I can understand doing it later after launch ie EA and launching games with servers certainly aint their strong suit lately...)

GalCiv 3 (want to test and enjoy all the cancer that comes with it)

MORE

Planetary Annihilation

Distant Worlds Modders expansion

Witcher 3 (OH YES)

Pillars of Eternity (OH FUCKING BOY)

Wasteland 2 (would also love fallout 4 but this will do just fine!)

finally grabbing BF 4 sometime soon

Sots Ground Pounders- haven't played a generals like game in years (advanced wars and gameboy way back in the day)... and its pc vs android so see how that goes

Sots RPG (Freehold?)

FTL update and its coming to iphone (hope Sots The Pit comes out to iphone too this year)

Sots 2 expansion? (gives angry look at Paradox still can't cough up the money originally due to Kerb but your ready to go forward with an new expansion oh that's funny and you talk about having 17+ titles in the pipes and you make all the money off sots 2 now...)

More stuff for FE and Sins I hope (waves wallet)

Void Destroyer

Getting my hands on At the Gates

The Mandate but that's 2015... I'm sure Star Citizen will be 2015 with all those new features they keep getting from their funds.

Star Control got to fit this in at sometime

Xcom expansion with coop and mod support (one can dream)

Owning all my animation software this year!

I'm sure there is more but ya I'll update too.

Galactic civilization 3. I might would try another civilization game. Right now I'm testing distant worlds and endless space. A friend of mine wants me to try eve online. I will probably give masters of orion another go around I did not like it the first time probably of its graphics.  I'm really only interested in games like civilization and galactic civilization. If could give me a list of games like that.

New: GalCiv3 (out there), Fallout4 (Cambridge, MA?). Pld, but I never played: Waiting for a friendly drone to deliver Balder's Gate 1,2,(4 cd set) and Icewind Dale (3 cd set) - and researching how to sat them up to play.

NHL 2015 i guess.

I wish there was some upcoming RTS/Sins like game coming up, which would make me as excited as Rebellion did.

Waiting for a friendly drone to deliver Balder's Gate 1,2,(4 cd set) and Icewind Dale (3 cd set) - and researching how to sat them up to play.

Easiest way is go to GoG and buy them there.

Running old disks (bought originally upon release, some bought later due wear&tear/damages), could require certain shaman rituals, and games still could have problems in performance, or very working status. If you have AMD/ATI video card, you could have fewer problems. At least I had fewer, than on PC with NVidia. If I'm not mistaken - bought GoG's version and forgot about disks long ago.

I can try to dig up my records, where we with friends discussed how to launch old versions, but I'm not sure I'll be able find them, sorry.

The BG games have been remade and can be purchased with updated content and engine updates that let them run on modern systems at decent resolutions.

FYI, in case anyone here didn't know.

on Jan 09, 2014

Yeah, but those aren't exactly originals.

Yeah, but those aren't exactly originals.

Other than some new added quests and a new potential party member or two they are the originals.
