PS4 even was a big "meh". Lets hope Microsoft knocks it out.
What would you like to see in a new Xbox?
Is that suppose to be "hope"? Because I don't understand this statement otherwise.
Was PS4 really that big of a "meh"? Because it seems to be a decent machine from what it is revealed thus far.
Either way (I'm getting both) I'll be extremely happy to get away from the PC market, where ten year old tech is good enough for everyone!
Yes, eventually the PC market will overshadow the consoles again, history repeats itself after all...but right now the golden boy (PC) seems more like a rubber chicken.
I want to see the end of the XBL paywall.
The PS4 specs aren't really much better than a PC that's a few years old. I would expect the Xbox to be similar.
They're better than most PCs out there, and there won't be any ten year old OSes or 32 bit software using DX9 and at times not even optimized for SSE2.
Also USB3 is default, so should drive some USB3 adoption which the PC has pretty much none of years later.
The specs might not be amazing compared to high end gamer PCs but the games not being held back by the software will be a huge deal for me.
the software the developers choose to target, that was
i would like to see them use decent hardware...directx11 support on both consoles the ps4 and the xbox...Would be great if they inserted an i5 core or an AMD with 4 phys cores and 4 logicalthe better the hardware gets for consoles the better future games for the PC will get almost everything is a port these days there is hardly any game that isnt developed for the console..Thinking about that the hardware included in the ps4 is like 1-2+ years old compared to a high end modern desktop pc gives me shivers.Simply because its highly like it that they will remain 5-6 years on the market till a new release of consoles knocks on the door. And that means there wont be any improvements on what you will see on your screen for another 5years.Even if there is a game engine strong enough to make an incredible game its won´t be very likely to have future games with 60+frames for the pc good example was RAGE... Rage was a real nice game but the port from box to pc was so terrible that Carmack himself had to appologize to the pc customers.Even if the port would be flawless there would be still 2-3 years of potential hardware power left out.And that is my main problem with the whole console thing special releases like RED DEAD REDEMPTION that never came to pc all those claims that illegal shit only exists on PC goes on for years but the truth bites and isnt realy liked to be heard.PC platform was the start and the base ground for most game devs and they should not be left out or be kicked into the lower region with extra waiting time or no release at all.I know it would work to dev a game on PC for PC and then break it down to make it work on consoles but thats not how things are done sadly.I realy hope they will add more more power to the xbox than they are going for the PS4.As far as i read its CPU with GPU i only can say WOW to that considering that some guys have an sli 690 setup on their rigs waiting to force them to finally suffer well that wont happen lol.PS i dont have sli 690´s cant afford that haha
I completely understand if you think I'm taking a less than subtle dig at Stardock with that first point, but it's not about that...it's practically the entire industry still doing it.
