I hope it's ready soon too! Ever since the last update of WB I haven't been able to load any skins that I have downloaded, (including purchased skins!) so I'm hoping that if I switch to Windows 8 and the new WB, I might be able to use my newer skins.

All the skins that I had previous to the last update work just fine, only the ones I have downloaded since that last update don't work.

Also, Skinstudio doesn't work AT ALL for me now, It fires up, but it's just blank and doesn't respond to anything.

Please don't ask me to contact support, I already did, and after several reinstallations everything is still the same. I guess I can only hope the new version and Win8 will clear it up..........

Bryan....what are you running it on that it doesn"t work?

A Mac? ....

If recent skins 'don't work' is it that they're installing to the wrong place....either auto and/or manually?...

hehe... No Paul, Windows 7.

I thought that initially, but no, they install to the correct place. The strange thing is, they show up as normal in the WB config window, but when I apply them nothing happens. WindowBlinds THINKS it has applied them, but the graphics don't change. If I restart the computer with one of the "phantom" skins applied, it switches to the standard windows 7 skin.

It's driven me crazy for quite a while, but I just gave up in the end......

Bryan, do you have a System restore point or disk image from before the last update? Don't do that just yet, though.

Also wondering if you have tried the zapper to remove SKS/WB7.x, or did you do it with a 3rd party uninstaller?

I would imagine we will be releasing more good news soon.

Not to be a stick in the mud here, as I know Windows 8 compatibility is a priority for some, but I'd really like to see some updates for ODNT/SD software other than said compatibility. DS 8 was a great update but so far everything else just gets a "works on Windows 8" label slapped on it and done. Some new features and fixes for long present and well documented bugs would be a real plus to those of us who simply don't feel the need to "upgrade" to the newest OS but continue to support Stardock.
