If you have a cool idea for a quest that you think would be a great addition to Elemental, then come post your quest idea for a chance to win prizes including having your quest included in future builds of Elemental: War of Magic.

Submissions must be received by January 31, 2011 at 12:00AM ET.

does this mean in 2 hours, or 26 hours from now?

My quest was too big for 5000 characters so I had to cut out a lot of the details and the NPC interaction. I hope they ask the winner for more details so they can use more than 5000 characters. And I'm assuming since it's not been changed this far in (I'm sure there's someone that checks for errors in things like that) the contest that it's probably two hours from now.

^ this.  I could make my quest way cooler, if I had 50,000 characters or so.

"CONTEST DRAW(S): The decision for the top five quests will be held in Plymouth, Michigan beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 31, 2011 from all eligible entries received. The winner will then be decided by Impulse account holders, and be announced on February 22, 2011 via the website. The winner will also be contacted via email." Yep, it's 12:00 a.m. as in very soon, since they're making the decision starting tomorrow.

Sorry to double post, but </3 for everyone else in the same boat.

My original quest had a lot more about NPC interaction, because my quest was going to be based on the fact that I'm tired of seeing "A party made up of a bunch of morons released something really bad into the world" and not actually seeing it on the map. So my quest chain, if failed, unleashes another faction on the world, and so if an NPC of low power stumbles through the final location, the faction is visibly released into the world via a big fiery action and a marriage-style picture/narration intermission.

But I didn't have the space to go over all the details. I wanted my quest implemented because it would mean they'd have to add those functions - NPC interaction, consequences for failure, and intermission/narration/pictures, as well as an interior ruins or partial interior ruins tileset for tactical battles, as well as releasing things into the world by accident (Factions/monster hordes, etc.) So I designed my quest specifically around things I wanted implemented.

There isn't too much anyone can do with only 5000 characters.

I want to win so bad!

I know what you mean Xia. I'm running on an ancient NVidia card right now. I'd read your quest, but it's impossible with the width limit they set in the CSS on the contest page. My contest being almost exactly 5k characters stretches out of the screen in both directions.

But honestly I hope whoever has the quest that would involve the most modable implementations wins. - Floating islands, additional maps, narrated intermissions (Marriage like), or whatever. Just like the spells, I want something new that adds a whole new world of capability to Elemental War of Magic.

Like I said, I wrote mine specifically to include as many new things as I could, and while I don't know the cannon as well as the author, I tried to generalize things and fit them into cannon in a way that wasn't covered before.

Actually, I'll go check your quest out just because I see you all over the forums, and see if I can't disable CSS enough to read it.

Edit: Just read it.

I need a new video card, and I want Frogboy to say he loves me!  And most importantly, I want the second Expansion to be named after my quest.  "Elemental: The Grey Titan"  Sounds bad ass to me, I know I would buy it, and if I was a hot chick, I would sleep with any nerd who bought it too.

You do know that "badass" is a color, right?  If you renamed your quest "The Badass Titan," I'm positive your dreams will come true.

It's too bad that the top five are voted on by forum members, that just makes this a popularity contest.

I know, and there is nobody on this forum that has more haters than me
