Of course not, because this involves the violent tactics of progressives and their campaign to turn America into a socialist state.

"Allee Bautsch, chief campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown, were savagely beaten Friday night in New Orleans after leaving a Republican party fundraising dinner by a group of thugs who reportedly targeted the couple because they were wearing Sarah Palin pins.

Bautch’s leg was broken and Brown incurred a broken jaw and nose as well as a concussion.

The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:"

Just imagine how the media would have reacted if this was involving the Tea Party.  But once again, this is violence against the GOP, so it doesn't matter.

Update:

"I just had a very interesting and somewhat confusing conversation with New Orleans Police Department Public Information Officer Bob Young.

Mr. Young confirmed to me that the New Orleans police had indeed taken statements from both of the victims, Jindal aide Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend, Joe [Brown]. He confirmed that in those statements, the victims reported that their assailants had indeed hurled “insults” at them, and the “insults” were, and I quote, “of a political nature”."

Maybe the assaulters were actually republicans who are trying to put the blame on democrats. Sounds like something they would do.

Now this I expected.  Always blame your opponents for your sins, to deflect criticism from yourself.

Typical liberal response.

No, democrat/progressive union-paid thugs are most likely the cause.

You mean "they" being something like this http://www.crashtheteaparty.org/phpBB3/ ?

I guess Katrina didn't wash away all the trash in New Orleans.

Surprise surprise.

Remember what I wrote here:

Or it was a group of drunk people looking to make trouble. You are all jumping the gun.

And then, Chuck answered:

And you're looking for excuses. It seems neither of us is willing to accept either.

Ain't you all disapointed that the your political opponents aren't monsters after all?

I stand by my initial comment: you all jumped on this, quite happy to decry the media bias and the sad plight the Tea Partiers/Palin fans are going through. I stepped in to say: "Nothing links this to political", and accused me of not being open minded.

You all saw what you wanted to see. I really wonder who lacks objectivity. In the end, your political climate isn't my fight. I am just an outsider observer. I am influenced by it to a level you don't seem to care, but it's not my fight.

Ummm...not all, as I was not ready to jump until I got more information.  It was plausible (as there is a history of it), but there was more speculation than facts initially reported.

I love to rub people's noses into the slime the left does dish out, But one thing I hate more than the left's antics is being wrong.

Actually, I wasn't targetting you specifically. I actually find you quite reserved in your jugement and open-minded about other's opinion, even if you don't accept anything for face value (which is a good thing).

Maybe you should re-read "ALL's" comment before you paint all with the same brush. Or does reading what one wants to read stand as an exception? It sounds a bit hypocritical in your current context IMO. Just because nobody got their finger bitten off or beaten up by SEIU thugs this time does not make potential problems go away. More info came to light. You marginalize ID's (and others) clarification of the facts to get an "I told you so" in. Had the OP been the MSM, the retraction, if any, would have been buried on page 12.

I am as biased as they come, but like I said, I hate being wrong.

A big part of it is having a bunch of aunts and uncles who forward everything sent to them without checking.  I love a good slam as well as the next guy, but I sure do not want to slam on false pretenses.  So I have become the "authenticator" of internet Myths.

You can see from my past articles where I really got it wrong (and had me head handed to me), so I strive for accuracy these days.  But then it is not like you have to look hard for something you want to slam.  As Nitro indicates, there are plenty of examples where the story is true (just not in this case).

Maybe in Podunck News and reports, but the NY crimes would have it on page A31 (and the section would stop at A30).

Some may have assumed the worst; circumstances were certainly suggestive.  However, as a general rule, conservatives are more likely to hold fire pending clarification than leftists/liberals, and certainly more likely than the leftist media when jumping to a conclusion has the benefit of besmirching conservatives.  Track record is pretty clear in that regard.
