I may be incorrect on this but if you just have the free version I believe it's $19.95 to upgrade.

Hmn....like the look....but may just wait a bit more...really not looking forward to paying for OD again....*sigh*(I do understand that Plus was stand alone, and not part of the Object Desktop package.)

From the description:

* Minor version updates to products are made available to registered users at no charge. For instance, if you purchased ObjectDock 1.0 you would have had access to 9 minor version updates at no charge. Only major version changes (like moving from ObjectDock 1.x to ObjectDock 2.0) will have an upgrade charge.

With the standalone products there is no time restraint on the upgrades (1 year subscription) but just the major version changes. But we are getting the discount I guess.

Meh...$9.95 U.S currancy ain't too bad. Look at what we spend for renewl fee's every year for Object Desktop lol. I am well and truly caught

Its only 6 (uk) pounds!!!!! Its the price of a burger meal or something. Amazingly cheap for a clever and probably very good piece of software.

$9.95 is not too bad. I guess I am not accustom to paying for upgrades of this nature. I will simply have to wait till I can renew my subscription first, then get CursorFX and then OdjectDock 2.0. Stardock makes good products and paying for them allows for better software in the future. Besides, most of us would probably blow those $9.95 on some crappy thing at the store or a couple of Whopper combos that would only last for a few minutes.

Combined with fences Pro, ObjectDock is a very handy tool on my desktop

I'd like to get everything for nothing, but I don't have a problem paying $10 to upgrade to v2.0. WindowBlinds is more important appearance-wise, but ObjectDock is vital to me functionally.

Will ObjectDock 2 introduce the 'child' (for want of a better word, actually sub-dock might be a better word!) docks that I currently get with DellDock i.e. I click on the Office icon in the dock and and a smaller dock opens below so I can select the office app I want? If not £6 seems a lot to pay for something that essentially just adds more eye candy than functionality, especially as my current OD+ seems to work just fine under Windows 7.

Object Dock Plus does currently allow you to create sub-menus. Click ..this dock, add, new fly-out menu. Been using it for years this way and it works really well. Just make sure that after you create your new fly-out menu that you select the "custom menu" radio button from within the properties of that dock and select add to add a sub dock object, example Word, Excel etc...

Can you post a pic of that working mate....

So far I don't see anything that would warrant charging customers $10 for an upgrade from 1.9 to 2.0. Been a stardock customer for a long time, and every year they seem to deliver a little less. I really hope they have a few hidden features up their sleeve on this one.
