I've had Object Desktop for a few years now but I haven't gotten around to trying Object Bar yet...any advantage in using it over the Windows Vista / 7 sidebar?
More configurable
Also, I only see Object Bar listed in my software...is it the same as Object Bar 2?
yes.
When I applied most of the default themes that come with it I was getting an Invalid Zip code error. Any ideas on that one?
It may be using an old accuweather feed . . which thev'e shut down.

I just ran OB on Vista and it will not use a windowblind skin. It always uses the luna blue XP skin. This sux. I am running Gloss Burgundy, and it wants to use XP Blue crap.  Bummer.

LOL...

Please, this is ridiculous...

I'm also a software vendor, and that same site gave my product a 5-star award. EVEN THOUGH MY SOFTWARE WAS DISCONTINUED 2 YEARS PRIOR!

I've also received that same "editors choice" award for all my other software submitted to that site. I know for a fact it doesn't deserve it, they probably just give those awards away to get links back to their site.

As do most other software directory sites.

Objectbar is as good as discontinued too afaik....

Things that are going to go into maintenance mode (no longer updated): - ObjectBar. This is one of my favorites but we need to rewrite this to keep it up to date and at that point, we would release a new program based on today's requirements.

From WWW Link

In my opinion, maintenance mode would mean bugfixes, but no new features. No longer updated means it's discontinued.

I use ObjectBar on my XP Home 32 bit system to create a Vista style sidebar and it works just great with the option is use the theme of the current WB I m using.  I have tried to do this on my Vista Home Premium 64 bit system and can't get that function to work.

Is this a bug or am I missing or doing something wrong?
