I wanted to give an update on the current status of WinCustomize 2009.  We are finally in the final stretch, and the majority of the new site is done.  Visually, it’s a big change and I think many of you will like how clean and well designed the new site is.  It’s also much easier to navigate to find the skins you want, something that can be a bit difficult at times.

In the next couple of weeks I’m going to need a small team of testers to tear the site apart and list any kinks you might find so they can be corrected as quickly as possible.  If you would be interested in helping with this task, please let me know in the comments.  It’s going to be a very select few who will help, and I will PM you when the time comes.

Thanks for your patience!

I don't think they're releasing it to "subscribers only" first. Where did you hear this from?

I suppose they could if there is a beta release, but that doesn't make sense since it's a site and not a program.  I guess the testers will be the ones getting the beta.

While I look forward to the new site, I don't care if people get it before me. It's not like the old site is unusable.

Subscribers coughed up money to help PAY for the site upgrade, if they get it first it's all fine by me. Early access to a website is hardly a perk though.

It's not being released early to anyone.

Sheesh!

Let me (doc) make this clear: I'm not speaking for anyone but me here.

The way I understand it is:

The new site design url will be sent to the people ID wants to test it by virtue of their knowledge and whatever criteria he deems to be necessary to reveal any problems early so it'll work great for everyone when it goes up.

It isn't a popularity contest. It's being done to test functionality. OK? (sorry ID if I did. but I don't think I usurped your role here).

Honestly, people...enough is enough!
