The much-anticipated PC version of the hit Braid, is now available for preorder on Impulse!

“Braid is a puzzle-platformer, drawn in a painterly style, where the player manipulates the flow of time in strange and unusual ways. From a house in the city, journey to a series of worlds and solve puzzles to rescue an abducted princess. In each world, you have a different power to affect the way time behaves, and it is time's strangeness that creates the puzzles. The time behaviors include: the ability to rewind, objects that are immune to being rewound, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and perhaps more. Braid treats your time and attention as precious; there is no filler in this game. Every puzzle shows you something new and interesting about the game world.”

The preorder is available for $14.95, and launch date is set for March 31st.  See more at http://www.impulsedriven.com/braid.

Braid Preorders Now on Impulse! Published on February 17, 2009 By Island Dog The much-anticipated PC version of the hit Brain, is now available for preorder on Impulse!

Is the Title oof this game "Braid" or "Brain" ?

Clarity helps

Must be Bra_d's fault.

on Feb 17, 2009

Not the place to ask, but is there a hope for seeing Bionic Commando Rearmed on Impulse?

on Feb 17, 2009

I don't mean to sound ungrateful but why does it cost $5 more than the 360 version?

on Feb 17, 2009

That's the price the devs set for the PC version.

i can be wrong but i am fairly sure that braid was initially sold 20$ on xbox, so it is the same launch price. If that really upsets you, just wait a little bit, impulse loves doing low prices weekends.

It wasn't.  People complained heavily on the 360 that the game wasn't worth $15, though it was the first $15 game.  I don't want to come off as rude, but I really don't think this game will sell well on Impulse at $20.

People were plenty willing to pay $15 for the Street Fighter II remix though.  (hint hint to Stardock)

As kryo said.. they don't set the prices.

Yeah I know.  I know I'll just get other stuff on Impulse in the future instead.

BTW if Capcom is working with Stardock- try to get Street Fighter IV PC on Impulse hard.

People complained that Brad wasn't worth $15?!  I would gladly have paid 20-25 bucks for it...I enjoyed every moment of the game and was blown away by creativity at every step.

I know what you mean, but...

See, see - Bard's or is it Baird's (( typo monster struck twice )) fault once again!

on Feb 18, 2009

Hahaha. Typo of the week award goes to BoogieBac! It might even make the monthly finals.

on Feb 18, 2009

[UPDATE] Price has been lowered to $14.95.  see here and here

If you've already pre-ordered, don't worry.  You'll still get charged the correct amount.

I have a healing finger covered in hydrocortozone that has really been messing with my spelling   Don't tease

But yes, I strongly beleive Braid would be worth a 20-note, despite public outcrys causing a retraction.
