Well after Jerry Seinfeld was canned from the Microsoft commercials, we see the next “phase” of ads, this time entitled “I’m a PC”.  They are OK, but I’m curious as to what’s ahead for these.

One guy says he's a pc, and loves to photograph hamburgers. Haha. That's weird.

Not if the "Hard Disk" is a frozen hamburger patty, pjdark,

I agree....less likely to find a Mac in a 3rd world country. That's just obvious.

The elitist Mac thing also bothers me. Proprietary hard/software sux because it's always gonna cost more and really only to line ceo pockets.

No OS has proven it's superiority because they all still exist, and continue to evolve.

Just my impression.

BUT seeing as we dont have a choice in what OS we choose

ummm you do have a choice, albiet small but a choice nonetheless

This is great. Apple tries to force you into "their brand". That is the basis of their ads. PC is generic and Apple is a special brand you should be apart of.

This advert does something incredible. It isn't promoting a PC brand in particular. By demonstrating the variety and differences of all these "PC people" it's giving the impression that we are the brand. The individuals, so unique that we don't have to be pigeonholed into a specific archetype that Apple tries to suggest in their ads.

I am a PC and I HAVE A BEARD!

Remember that Mac is just practicing what is known as Clique or Bandwagon advertising.  This ad campaign does a good job of countering the Mac advertising implications that people who use PCs are somehow missing something by not being with the "cool crowd."

Fortunately, these new PC ads point out that the rest of the 96% of the world is trailblazing just fine on PCs.

As for me, I didn't go through the trouble of killing SGI just to see it replaced by another closed box, overpriced solution, thank you very much.

what a gay ad. IF microsoft think that will make some1 buy windows it definately isnt me BUT seeing as we dont have a choice in what OS we choose then hey of course i will buy windows.

And you sir are a offensive boob.

Its not a "gay ad" because theres nothing wrong with being gay like you seem to imply. Its a BAD ad or a CRAP ad or an ad that plain sucks.

Calling it "gay" is like saying "this ad is paki" or "what a niggerlike ad". Its offensive rude and prejudiced.

Hmm and the forums arent letting me Report his post nor Edit my previous post.

Im gay myself and im astounded that Stardock staff have posted in this thread and said NOTHING about his attitude.

The ads are kinda weird I admit but I reckon they are a dig at the whole "Oh Macs are Cool and PCs SUCK!" ads that Apple was running.

Sadly if I had a dollar for every time I jumped down the throat of a twit who decided to devolve HRH's English to have 'gay' as a derogatory term....[NOT to mention the earlier bunch who decided the word was to be their 'title' rather than its original meaning] I'd be rich.

But yes, it was noted...
