This is coming from the same people who accuse the GOP of being "liars" and "smear merchants".

From Newsbusters:

As I reported earlier, the scurrilous claim that McCain vice presidential pick Governor Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy with a Down's Syndrome child is beginning to spread among the lowest of the nutrooters. Now, the unhinged, smear site DemocraticUnderground.com has boosted this lie to their front pages. Naturally, since these hate sites feed into each other, the spurious source of the DU story is another DailyKos story like the one I earlier reported upon.

Pile this on top of the low blow from TV's Alan Colmes who claims that Palin didn't practice proper prenatal care before she had the baby with Down's Syndrome, blaming the Mother for her disabled child. Well, the lefties don't know a low road they won't take. (Colmes' site has crashed right now, but this is the address if it ever comes back: http://www.alan.com/2008/08/30/did-palin-take-proper-pre-natal-care/)

Liberals really know how to lose elections.

ANd its not like the mothers take it lightly

If ANYONE really wants to ingest cocaine into their body, they can. That's equality.

Not LEGALLY!  Before Roe v Wade, ANYONE could get an abortion too.  Just not always LEGALLY.  Again your logic is critically flawed.  What right to privacy (your body) do you have?  Can you legally commit suicide?  No. Can you sell your organs?  No.  Can you put Cocaine, Heroine, LSD, Meth, etc into it legally?  No.  So what can you do with your body legally?  Not a whole hell of a lot.

So where is the equality?  The ONLY right to privacy with A body has been bestowed on women, none on men.  Name one!

Your logic is flawed, and your arguement worse.

Which is particularly sad. I am by no means a fan of drugs, but if someone wants to use and abuse them, go for it. Survival of the smartest, lol. Seriously though, it's sad that when it comes to taking care of ourselves - there's government regulation. You'd think we don't know what is best for us...

*bristles* Ugh, and again I make the statement - just because A liberal makes an ignorant and stupid remark, doesn't mean we're all that way. Politics...love it yet hate it.

You say that you can't legally commit suicide, but what is the punishment for someone who does? Death? So tell me why it's illegal, what is the point of a law making suicide illegal?

Let's say abortions were made illegal, what would the punishment be for someone who got one, let's say unassisted. What would be the logical punishment be, would it be life in prison since you consider it murdering a fetus?

Successful suicides are beyond the law, but people who attempt suicide but live are often put under "protective custody" and no longer get to make decisions for themselves for awhile.

You act like abortion has never been illegal, or that all abortions are illegal in the US now.  What is the punishment for any child abuse?  What should the punishment be for mothers or for "doctors" who kill babies now?  As far as mothers' emotional state when deciding to have an abortion, we already take that into consideration when mothers kill their babies (as in post partum depression), there's no reason to leave that out of legislation banning abortion.

People act like abortion is something that is so different than any other act, so it's "untouchable".  If we used the same logic in the 1860s, slavery would still be legal and protected.

yea, but if you fail - watch out!

You will have to ask government why it is illegal in about 48 of the states.  But given the precedent of Roe V Wade, it should be legal in all 50, right?

What would be the punishment for someone who kills their day old child?  Do you consider that murdering a post partum fetus?

But no, it is not murdering a fetus.  It is homicide of a child (I was corrected in that it is legal, so it is not murder).

You mean 57, at least according to Obama.

Come on, Charles.  Proper spelling is a far more important (potato/e) quality in judging our candidates for high office than the ability to comprehend grade school civics (or to have an effing clue).  To the Right-Wing-Media's credit, you haven't heard much carping about that (dang it, no fun at all).
